We’re kicking off CelebrateARTS week of free events with the first-ever silent disco in York! Join us on Saturday, January 13th at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts Studio to get your headphones and take part in York’s first soundless dance celebration! Silent disco is a unique way of experiencing live music – Guests wear wireless headphones and a silent atmosphere instantly transforms in to a high energy musical performance. Audio/Visual artists Aortic Valve will be spinning the music and projecting video to make it a truly immersive experience.

Dancers from Greater York Dance and Midstate Ballet will open the silent disco with a performance perfectly timed to the music in your ears-and guaranteed to get your feet moving! Don’t miss this sight/sound experience premiering in York for the first time! Doors open at 7:30pm, and the party goes on until 11pm!

The Silent Disco Dance Party is part of CelebrateARTS: a free community cultural celebration January 13-20! The goal of CelebrateARTS! is to provide citizens of all ages the opportunity to participate in cultural experiences to improve our overall community stability and vitality, and build lasting connections with one another without cost being a barrier. CelebrateARTS! will also act as the public launch of the Cultural Alliance 2018 annual campaign, working to raise $1 Million in contributions to bring more of these high-quality arts experiences to our community.
